We ordered plantation shutters from "Madeka Shutters" on 2/11/06 and left a $1000 deposit. His quote was heaps better than others.
We were told they would be ready in 12 weeks (usually 6-8 weeks but longer because of Christmas) I rang the guy Paul Gilhooly in Feb '07 and he told me a few more weeks until they are ready.
A few weeks on I call again - no reply.
I call daily for 3 weeks and email him and finally get a call back from him saying the shutters have warped because he stuffed up something and he had to start from scratch again. I wanted cancel but hubby wanted to give him another chance. He offered us 10% discount on the balance and stated they would be ready in 6 weeks.
6 weeks on I call - no reply.
I call daily for the next 2 and half weeks still no reply.
I know hes around as an acquaintance has had him out for a quote at their house just last week, but this rip off merchant won't return our calls and we have no shutters still.
6 months on and nothing to show for our money.
Paul Gilhooly and Madeka Shutters have ripped us off! Beware a cheaper quote is usually too good to be true! |
