We bought a TV from Sears. It had a shadow in the corner. Frank called to have it repaired under the manufacturer's warranty and they sent a Repair Guy #1 out. Repair Guy #1 could not figure out the problem and said he would have to come back. Repair Guy #1 never calls, so we call them again. They send Repair Guy #1 out again and he looks at it and orders a part. By this time, the manufacturer's warrant has run out. The part comes in and Repair Guy #1 comes out, sees the part is missing something, tries to rig it with the old part and the whole screen turns green. Now we cannot even watch it. He orders a new part. Repair Guy #2 (the one that knows what he is doing), comes out after the second part is ordered and puts it in. He explains how Sears is eating the cost because Repair Guy #1 didn't do his job. So, #2 puts in the part (which fixes the TV back to the original condition and the shadow is still there, but runs perfect) after realizing the part wasn't the problem, he decides to order a new picture tube and see if that willl work. We have been waiting about a month for that.
So, yesterday Sears calls and get this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They said since the TV wasn't under warranty anymore, they want their parts back and they want to charge us for the service calls. Frank went off. He went to the head of the company and got no where. |
